Free Home and Garden Calculators
Nineteen practical calculators for wall layouts, decorating, sheet weights, garden materials, and trim planning.
These free English-language tools provide calculation methods and worked examples for measuring and material planning. Measure the real space, use the actual product dimensions, and check each tool’s assumptions before purchasing materials.
Board and Batten Spacing Calculator
Enter your wall width, actual batten width, and desired maximum gap to get an evenly spaced layout and individual marking positions. Optional batten height adds a vertical material-length estimate; the result is a layout plan, not a structural design.
Wallpaper Calculator with Pattern Repeat
Estimate physical rolls from wall dimensions, roll size, pattern repeat, and trimming allowance. The calculator offers pattern-match and opening-allowance options, so check the product label and any assumed offcut reuse before ordering.
Plywood, OSB & MDF Weight Calculator
Estimate individual sheet and stack weights in pounds and kilograms from material, thickness, dimensions, and quantity. Density ranges explain why real panels can differ; use actual product weights and your vehicle specifications when planning transport.
Picture Frame Molding Calculator
Plan wall frames from the treatment area, rows, columns, gaps, margins, and actual trim width. The output includes frame dimensions, 45-degree miter lengths, position marks, and an eight-foot stock plan with the selected cutting allowance.
Landscape Fabric Calculator
Estimate fabric for rectangular, circular, or L-shaped beds and walkways while allowing for seam overlap. Compare whole-roll options and edge or seam pin estimates, then check the installation instructions for extra fixings and plant openings.
Landscape Edging Calculator
Calculate the edging length for a rectangle, circle, or measured border and estimate rolls, metal sections, or bricks. An editable buying allowance and spike spacing help you explore quantities; product-specific joint fixings may need to be added separately.
Baseboard Trim Calculator
Use rectangular room dimensions or measured wall lengths, subtract door openings, and compare eight-, twelve-, and sixteen-foot stock. You can enter your own material price to estimate a material budget; labor, tax, delivery, paint, and accessories are excluded.
Slat Wall Spacing Calculator
Choose a target gap or a fixed slat count to calculate an even wall layout, end margins, and individual start positions. Optional cut height and saw kerf provide total slat length and an eight-foot board estimate; measure the actual board face rather than its nominal size.
Fence Picket & Gate Planner
Compare equal or fixed end clearances across measured spans and combine picket packages and factory gates.
Deck Board & Offcut Planner
Combine rectangular deck areas, stock lengths, existing offcuts and saw kerf into one cut and purchase plan.
Grout Package Calculator
Combine tile areas before rounding and compare separately documented package yields for MAPEI Flexcolor CQ.
Concrete Slab Bag Calculator
Estimate slab volume and round the result up to whole bags using the yield printed on the mix you plan to buy.
Paver Patio Pack Calculator
Calculate individual pavers and full packs from patio size, actual paver dimensions, joint width, cuts, and pack count.
Mulch Bag Calculator
Convert a bed's length, width, and finished depth into full bags while allowing for settling and spillage.
Gravel Tonnage Calculator
Estimate compacted layer volume, convert it with an entered bulk density, and round up to the supplier's delivery increment.
Wall Paint Can Calculator
Estimate full cans from wall area, openings, coat count, product coverage, waste, and can size.
Drywall Sheet and Pack Calculator
Estimate whole drywall sheets and purchasable packs from net wall area, sheet size, openings, and cutting allowance.
Flooring Carton Calculator
Convert room area and an offcut allowance into full cartons using the coverage printed on the flooring package.
Insulation Batt Pack Calculator
Count wall cavities and vertical batt pieces, apply a cut allowance, and round to full packs using the package count.
Who operates and checks these calculators?
Operator: TwoCut, the same publisher as the Korean website service home. Calculators and decision examples were reviewed on October 12, 2026. Code and editorial drafts use AI assistance; no installer credentials, customer reviews or physical certification are claimed.
Independent Python arithmetic is compared with JavaScript fixtures. Tests cover hand calculations, invalid inputs, rounding and unit boundaries. DOM tests load the actual HTML and exercise input and change events. These checks verify the stated mathematical models, not measurements or product suitability. Manufacturer references and limitations appear in each calculator.
The original eight calculators use common-input presets and comparison tables with one decision example each. Fence, deck and grout each provide two distinct worked decisions. Slat retains its own fixed-count and saw-kerf inventory planner; compare it with batten spacing when planning a wall.
